ATP-EMTP is a software tool for simulating and analyzing electromagnetic transients in power systems. It stands for Alternative Transients Program - Electromagnetic Transients Program. It is based on the original EMTP developed by Hermann Dommel and his colleagues at the University of British Columbia in the 1970s.
